Change in diet

I have been making so changes to my diet for the last 6-7 months and a lot has changed for me.  After walking 50kms for the third time for charity I was able to complete the distance and recover quicker than I had previously.  Although I work a sedentary job, for 6 months of the year I play volleyball 3 times per week (as I do now), dropping to 1-2 other parts of the year.  For a couple of years I have been strengthening my shoulder and performing several stretches on my back after having issues with both for some years now.  Whilst my body is not always 100% I have been able to play volleyball more aggressively than I have in many years, perhaps even 4-6 years. What surprised me is that I haven't removed that much from my diet, rather I have added to it: mineral and vitamin supplements, protein.  I had heard good things about these products that I'm taking but was dubious that I would be able to see results. Some days I am clearly sharper and handle stress better and my body recovers from tough volleyball sessions a lot quicker (1-2 days as opposed to 4-5). I'll be sticking to this and seeing what else I can achieve in the next 6 months.
